On The Road
With Wabi-Sabi Workshops

The idea of taking the Wabi-Sabi Workshop experience came about for two simple reasons: the love of travel, coupled with the love of teaching, and if you throw in a little seafood and a lot of winter sunshine, you’ll find us in Inverness, Florida for the Winter. Come join us! January and February workshops are filling fast!

To be a good teacher, you must first be a good student. This philosophy has driven Michael for many years. “I have been doing leaded stained glass for over 40 years, and I have learned from some of the best craftsmen in the industry, and now it’s time I share that wisdom with others. I will never stop learning, and now I know I will never stop teaching.”

Wabi-Sabi students travel from around the country for the opportunity to learn from Master teacher Michael Rievley.

Homebase for Wabi-Sabi Workshops is in the beautiful foothills of North Carolina. The creative energy and natural beauty of North Wilkesboro and the surrounding area is well known and has long been a place that has nurtured creative expression.

Some might ask why travel when students are more than happy to come to your studio. The reason is simple, Michael also loves to travel and visit new creative places and restaurants with talented chefs.

Michael often shares stories with the students of his travels around the world and the creative inspirations that he gains from those experiences.

Students who attend our On the Road Wabi-Sabi Workshops will experience our traditional two-day workshop experience with only two students per class. The pattern offers will include a regional influence pattern based on the location of the On The Road Workshop.

Exclusive one-on-one classes are only available based on openings. It is highly suggested that if you desire this option, you should book your space as soon as possible.
